Biomass Instead of Gas: Regional Heating with a Big Impact
Switching from a gas-fired heating system to a modern wood-chip biomass heating system is transforming the way we supply heat across our resort. This reduces our CO₂ emissions by around 915 tonnes per year.
This is roughly equivalent to:
the annual CO₂ absorption of around 55,000 newly planted trees
a forest area of approximately 20 hectares
an important contribution to climate protection in the region
According to our information, the wood chips used come from regional forestry and enable sustainable, resource-efficient heating for the entire resort.
